DESCRIPTION:As we settle into the beautiful\, sacred space of Herons House\, our drums will call out across the land in gratitude for all the beauty around us.\n \nTogether\, we’ll journey with the drums through many worlds (yes\, there’s more than just three—lol!)\, following the adventure as it unfolds in the moment. Chants\, sounds\, laughter\, and healing energy will weave their magic throughout our time together.\n \nAll our events are led by experienced facilitators. Lynn has been holding drumming groups\, workshops\, drum birthing ceremonies\, and sacred Sweatlodges for over 25 years.\nSpare hand-held frame drums are available if you don’t have your own.\n \nPlease note: this is a hand-held frame drum circle.Children welcome by prior arrangement.No dogs\, except for assistance dogs.Donations are welcome

Our lodge stands on the marshland overlooking the open fields. It is a place of peace and tranquillity\, steeped in the mystery of the land. \n\nJoin us as we celebrate the Summer Solstice — the longest\, brightest day of the year. \nCome and honour the fullness of the sun and welcome the vibrant energy of midsummer. \n\nIf the Sweat Lodge is full when you request a space\, you can ask to be put on to a waiting list for that date if you are fully committed to keeping that date free should a space become available. \n\nLodge is a suggested £30 CASH donation on the day\, to cover overheads and wood. \nPlease email lynn.gosney@hotmail.com or via messenger for more information and to book. We enter with respect\, honour\, and trust. We attune to the seasonal energies throughout the day. We devote the whole day to the Sweat Lodge experience. From the covering of the frame and selecting the sacred rocks; then preparing and lighting of the fire. The rocks are heated in the fire so that their ancient wisdom and healing can be released. We create old crafts that attune us to the festival we are celebrating. \nWe will guide you gently through this beautiful ceremony. To birth your own drum is a truly rewarding experience; putting your love\, intent and energy into this powerful medicine tool will make a truly special drum for you indeed. \nOur drums are made in the traditional way using lacing cut from the same hide\, thus keeping the spirit of the animal within the drum. \nIn this full day workshop\, we will show you the full art of drum making from cutting both the hide and lacing\, in a day of ceremony\, honouring the spirits of the animal and the tree. SUMMARY:Advanced Rune Workshop with SighPea
DESCRIPTION:This day is designed for people who have either taken the introductory course\, and been actively using runes since\, or people who already have a good working knowledge of the runes and use them regularly\, but would like to take it further.\n \nIt will be group sessions and rituals for everybody to participate in.\n \nThe aim will be to have 9 people there on the day including myself. The day will be a combination of stories in the roundhouse\, meditation in Heron’s lodge\, and crafting in the community hut\, outside ritual – and wherever else the day takes us.\n \nBring your runes\, and anything else you use in your runic practices\, or that connect you to the gods and your path. Bring offerings for the gods – tailored to any individual ones as feels right.\n \n\nBut most importantly\, bring your intentions:\nWhat do you want to get out of this day?\nAre there any particular runes you want to connect with\, or work more deeply with?\nAre there any particular gods you want to connect with?\nIs there anything specific in your life that the runes can help you with at this time?\n\nThe day will be bespoke\, tailored to the guidance on the day and the people involved\, but some of the basic structure will include the following:\n\nRune centred guided meditation and drum journey\nJourney to find your own bind rune\nCrafting of this bind rune\nNorse mythology stories in the round house and Heron’s lodge\nGaldr and chanting of runes for deep connection and meditation\nDiscussion and ritual for connecting to specific gods and goddesses\nGroup readings and deep discussion about specific runes and what they mean to the group.\nWhich ones are people most connected to?\nPutting it all together into ritual.\n\nTO BOOK AND FOR PAYMENT INFO PLEASE EMAIL Lynn.gosney@hotmail.com\nPayment in full : £45You will need to bring your own drinking water and packed lunch. Together we will create powerful rhythms\, explore the joy of collective music-making\, and experience the unique sense of connection that emerges when a group comes together in sound. \nThe Big Calling Drums Call \nUsing the spacious IslandWorks venue to its fullest\, this will be a lively and immersive session where rhythm fills the room and invites us to engage with the music in a natural and expressive way.
