We gather around the fire\, answering the call of the drum as it carries us into connection – with ourselves\, with each other\, and with those who walked before us.\n \nThrough steady beats and simple ritual\, we honour our ancestors and step out of the demands of daily life\, creating space to pause\, breathe\, and return to ourselves.\nThis is a circle for men to be real and unguarded – a place where laughter\, quiet reflection\, release\, and healing are all welcome. Nothing is expected of you beyond showing up as you are.\n \nFrame drums only. If you don’t have your own drum\, there will be drums available to borrow.\nDonations toward the running of the centre are gratefully received.

DESCRIPTION:With nearly 30 years’ experience Lynn will take you on a magical journey of meeting a greeting an incredible new friend\, your very own drum. \nWe only take three people a time so we can give the very best we can offer to make the day really special and more personal. \nOur workshops are held at Caer Corhrain Shamanic Center on the Isle Of Sheppey Kent a beautiful heart space full of vibrant energy and home to many who once visit is captured in its spell. \nYour very own drum is a special friend who will heal you\, take you on breath-taking journeys and share with you a connection and oneness with all. To birth your own drum is a truly rewarding experience; putting your love\, intent and energy into this powerful medicine tool will make a truly special drum for you indeed. \nOur drums are made in the traditional way using lacing cut from the same hide\, thus keeping the spirit of the animal within the drum. \nIn this full day workshop\, we will show you the full art of drum making from cutting both the hide and lacing\, in a day of ceremony\, honouring the spirits of the animal and the tree. Our lodge stands on the marshland overlooking the open fields. It is a place of peace and tranquillity\, steeped in the mystery of the land.\n \nJoin us as we celebrate the first spring festival – Imbolc. The word Imbolc means “in the belly of the Mother” where the first seeds are beginning to stir.\n \nIf the Sweatlodge is full when you request a space you can ask to be put on to a waiting list for that date if you are fully committed to keeping that date free should a space become available.\n \nLodge is a suggested £30 CASH donation on the day\, to cover overheads and wood.\n \nPlease email lynn.gosney@hotmail.com or via messenger for more information and to book. Please note booking is essential.\n \nWe look forward to welcoming you to our Ceremony and Caer Corhrain\n \nWhat is a Sweatlodge\nThe Sweatlodge represents the gestating void\, the womb\, the earth belly of the mother. We enter with respect\, honour\, and trust. We attune to the seasonal energies throughout the day. We devote the whole day to the Sweatlodge experience. From the covering of the frame and selecting the sacred rocks; then preparing and lighting of the fire. The rocks are heated in the fire so that their ancient wisdom and healing can be released. We create old crafts that attune us to the festival we are celebrating.\n \nWe will guide you gently through this beautiful ceremony. Having facilitated many lodges over the years\, we will lead you through this most healing and beautiful ceremony with love and integrity .
