Community Drum Circle (24th June 2026)

Join us for an uplifting evening of rhythm, connection, and energy at the beautiful IslandWorks.
Drums and rhythm have been around since life began. The drum can help with stress and anxiety; it can help to build confidence and show us how to have fun which so many of us lack at times in our ever-busy lives. Drumming in a respectful and mindful way can have a positive effect on your well-being.
Whether you are an experienced drummer or have never picked up a drum before, this welcoming community drum circle is open to everyone. Together we will create powerful rhythms, explore the joy of collective music-making, and experience the unique sense of connection that emerges when a group comes together in sound.
The Big Calling Drums Call
Using the spacious IslandWorks venue to its fullest, this will be a lively and immersive session where rhythm fills the room and invites us to engage with the music in a natural and expressive way. There are no performances, no expectations, and no need to read music, sing or dance, just an opportunity to relax, have fun, and be part of something creative and energising.
A limited number of community drums will be available to borrow on the night, but if you have your own hand-held framed drum or a rattle, please feel free to bring it along.
